Star Sign

Ryan Adams has built a career out of turning vulnerability into a kind of shared language, writing songs that sit at the intersection of alt-country, rock and folk with a restless, searching spirit. Emerging in the late '90s with Whiskeytown before stepping into a prolific solo run, Adams became known for capturing heartbreak, nostalgia and self-reflection with an unfiltered emotional urgency.Star Sign, previously unavailable at North American retail, includes 'Shining Through The Dark' from the film This Is 40, and the original version of the song 'Stay Alive' covered by Jose Gonzalez for the credits of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Across an expansive catalogue - 30 studio albums over more than 25 years - Adams has remained preoccupied with the messy, complicated terrain of love and loss, crafting records that invite listeners to sit with discomfort while finding unexpected beauty in the act of feeling deeply.Adams is a 3× Grammy nominee, including Best Rock Album for Gold (2002) and his self-titled album Ryan Adams (2015).
