Amazing Grace

"God sometimes does His work with gentle drizzle, not storms." - John Newton, Writer of Amazing GraceThe same God that spoke the world into being, split the Red Sea, and caused the walls of Jericho to fall also works subtly, gently, and quietly - much like the still, small voice described in 1 Kings 19:12. He is grand, yet He is in the details. He is Lord of all, and yet came in human form. He holds the whole world in His hands, and still knows the number of hairs on our heads. As the first Hillsong Chapel album, Amazing Grace sets a tone of powerful simplicity. With stripped back, vocally-focused arrangements, this release offers versions of songs like 'I Surrender' and 'O Praise the Name (Anástasis)', perfect for congregation settings of any size. The premiering single, 'Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)' declares the timeless truth that is every believer's story, "I once was lost, but now I am found." No matter the season, whether it be through a grand storm or a gentle drizzle, God's amazing grace sustains us, and just like John Newton's 250-year old hymn, our only reasonable response must be praising Him.
