ABOUT THE ALBUM
A key figure in the evolution of the sweet Philly soul sound since the mid-1970s, Butch Ingram wrote and produced hundreds of songs for many of the genre's finest artists including Barbara Mason, Major Harris, Blue Magic, Ronnie Dyson and Brandi Wells. And if that's not enough, all the while, he's been a member of the famous family band, Ingram, which is still kicking it in high gear to this day. Here, backed by his ready, willing and able band of brothers, Butch gathers some of the Philadelphia area's best and brightest vocal talent (Sugarbear, TRU, Johnny Ingram, Donnie Tatem, The Legendary Bluenotes, Saleem Jefferson, Jimmy Lee, Blue Magic) for this soulful, tasty second volume of beloved Christmas classics, and he even takes lead vocals on a new original, "Amazon Stole Christmas (And Chased Santa Away)" that he penned specially to celebrate the holiday season. Merry Christmas from the City of Brotherly Love!
