ABOUT THE ALBUM
A generous 17 track compilation tracing the roots of the Miami Sound from it's evolution of Latin funk from the 1970's as represented by Coke, Ray & His Court and Pearly Queen, through the funk and soul sounds of Little Beaver, George McRae and Jimmy Bo Horne to the pop sounds of Foxy and Steve Alaimo, the Freestyle pioneers Connie, Debbie Deb and Stevie B; early hip-hop and bass music from Megatrons, Gucci Crew and Amos Larkins II. All selections have been newly remastered.
