ABOUT THE ALBUM
One of the most popular instrumental duos of the 50's and 60's, Santo & Johnny achieved worldwide fame when their catchy instrumental ditty "Sleepwalk" rose to #1 on the pop charts. Their unique steel guitar sound remains as popular today as when they first hit the charts in 1959. This classic album from 1961 finds Santo & Johnny exploring the Hawaiian oeuvre, a genre that is close to the root of their unique sound; playing both traditional Hawaiian fare that gave rise to surf music plus a beautiful version of the Elvis Presley hit, "Blue Hawaii." All selections newly remastered.
