Nine Pound Shadow is a happy-go-lucky band of family and childhood friends fashioning catchy melodies in the flats of West Berkeley. They grew up humming old-school pop tunes and somehow, note-by-note, the power and mystery of classic music wound it's way into the kid's mongrel DNA. The understated prettiness of simpler times grabbed their imaginations and steered their dreams. As songwriters and performers, a timeless quality can be faintly heard in their music and their voices and underneath words they sing.
