ABOUT THE ALBUM
Twelve inch vinyl pressing. Super Joao is dedicated to Joao Gilberto, the Brazilian guitarist and singer who innovated Brazilian music in the late '50s in part by transposing Afro-Caribbean drum patterns to the right (fingerpicking) hand of the guitar. Super Joao is about beautiful and surprising chord progressions, longform melodies, and nylon string acoustic guitar. With intimate production and understated but deep songwriting, Super Joao is Life Is What Happens! Quietly confident core.
