Two Phantoms & a Holy Ghost

Night Genes's first album 'Two Phantoms and a Holy Ghost' was the idea of a bassist-turned guitarist to explore the songs banging around in his head at night. These dark, folky songs explore mortality, the absurd, knowledge, and the human experience. The project is very much about the songs and the stories in them and the recording was done in a raw natural way, often using first and second takes to capture a feel, rather than the perfect sterile studio performance.
