Knee-Deep In The North Sea

This debut by the critically-acclaimed Portico Quartet was Time Out/London's "Jazz, Folk and World Music Album of the Year" when it was released in Europe in 2007, and was subsequently nominated for England's coveted Mercury Prize in 2008. Newly remixed by John Leckie (Radiohead, Stone Roses, producer of Portico Quartet's subsequent ISLA), it is available in the U.S. for the first time, both in CD format and on limited import vinyl. Likened to Steve Reich & Philip Glass, it's resonant, trance-like sound is like music from the future."A phenomenon in the making." - the Independent.
