Solar Live 11.15.13

Recorded off the board at the record release party for Chris Forsyth's Solar Motel (released thru NC based Paradise of Bachelors), these live tracks are performed by his fierce current band with members of Spacin' and ex-War On Drugs. Forsyth is a former student of Richard Lloyd, and has several records under his own name, but The Solar Motel Band is the start of something brand new. Coining his sound "Cosmic Americana," he takes elements from space, the Grateful Dead and Television and creates something otherworldly and engulfing. Denver Westword named Forsyth and his crew #1 on their ten jam bands to watch in 2014. Try to imagine Television circa 1977 recording a cover of Pharoah Sanders’ “The Creator Has A Master Plan” and you’re halfway there." - Aquarium Drunkard
