ABOUT THE ALBUM
Keyboardist Brian Simpson was one of the breakout stars of Contemporary Jazz in 2006. 2007 sees Brian making the leap to the upper echelon of the genre. His new album, ABOVE THE CLOUDS, is a melodic triumph, once again showcasing his gift for crafting infectious hooks and silky-smooth solos. ABOVE THE CLOUDS includes inspired guest performances by George Duke, Dave Koz, Chuck Loed, Wayman Tisdale and Kirk Whalum. One stunning addition - a never-before heard solo from the late great Michael Brecker - fittingly closes the album.
