"We learned how to write music from behind the wheel," Philip says, recalling the show-filled schedule that transformed Briscoe from Texas' best-kept secret into a national phenomenon and informed the creation of their new album, 'Heat of July.' "We were on the road so much that we had to become more mobile with the creative process."
