ABOUT THE ALBUM
Lucinda Drayton and Andy Blissett are Bliss, Bliss' music is used to meditate, relax or dance to. Healing practitioners use Bliss' music in their work. People take sustenance from the music and are soothed by the peaceful vibrations finding comfort and inspiration. Background: Lucinda Drayton was singing in bands by age fifteen. Many difficult years followed: all the near misses of record deals; broken promises: and auditioning for bands she didn't want to be in. Andy started piano lessons at age eight and after school played trumpet in the Royal Air Force Central Band. Lucinda met Andy while performing in a Cricket Club 1990. In 1994 they co-wrote "The Real Thing" for Toni Di Bart and a remixed dance version became a number one club hit throughout Europe. They followed that success by writing two other top twenty hits, "Do It" and "Falling for You". During the making of their first album, Lucinda and Andy started to live a yogi life and to move away from the pop industry culture. The Raja Yoga meditation they practice is based on the belief that everyone is a soul whose original nature is one of peace, love, bliss, purity and power. From this spiritual practice and place of inner peace, a new sound began to emerge. Their best selling album A hundred Thousand Angels is now known as a spiritual classic. Sinead O Connor recently covered the title track on her latest album Live Bliss is stunning: The power of their live sound takes the audience into a deep space of contemplation; it reduces audiences to tears and then lifts them into a celebration. Bliss has played venues diverse as The Royal Albert Hall and Wormwood scrubs Prison, from The Press Club in Washington DC to an outdoor stage at the Pyramids in Mexico.
