Long Time To Be Gone

Nora Brown, at 16 years of age, plays with beauty and depth in the performances captured on her new album, 'Long Time To Be Gone'. Recorded at St. Ann's Church, a large 19th century church with vaulted stone ceilings, the album combines the raw and immediate quality of a folkloric field recording, the audio fidelity of a studio album and the resonance of a remarkably beautiful acoustic space. The songs, and instrumentals on this record draw the listener in: They are poignant and transformative, challenging listeners to allow old and "outsider" music into their present day life.
