ABOUT THE ALBUM
The compositional style known as contrafact has it's roots in classical music but has grown in the jazz world over the decades. Contrafact songs feature new melodies written over classic chord structures & song forms. Bay-area pianist/composer Adam Shulman presents arguably THE quintessential jazz album utilizing contrafact, with an all-star NYC band, recorded in the most legendary of studios.
