He is a 15-time Grammy Award nominee and has sold over ten million albums, making him the bestselling instrumental rock guitarist of all time. Released in 1986, Not of this Earth is Satriani's fully instrumental debut album. Even though at this point he was still maturing as a guitarist, he'd already developed a unique tone and a signature style defined by licks only Satriani could come up with.
