CD reissue. Cleveland, Ohio born Eric Carmen, singer-songwriter and former lead-singer of the power-pop group the Raspberries' put out a pretty well-representing greatest hits package. Breaking out his falsetto on a number of occasions, Carmen does a decent job of creating the aura of sadness needed to pull off songs like 'Change Of Heart', 'Never Gonna Fall In Love Again' and the all-time leader in depressive pop hits, 'All By Myself'. This album also includes Carmen's hit 'Make Me Lose Control' plus the two hit-singles he wrote for Shaun Cassidy, 'Hey Deanie' and 'That's Rock 'N' Roll' and, of course, his comeback hit, 'Hungry Eyes' from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack.
