All Fly Home (Hol)

Out of print in the U.S. 1978 release. Al Jarreau was one of the biggest stars in music, an icon of popular singing, owner of musicality, versatility and unique talent. His peculiar way is reflected in this beautiful album, being one of the many discs that have won a Grammy Award for his excellent work. With a restrained yet potent funk band and a few cameos from luminaries in the jazz world, Al Jarreau gets plenty of opportunities to wrap his rubbery, ever-changing timbre around a great song. From the cover tunes, Jarreau completely transforms Kenny Loggins' 'Wait a Little While', The Beatles' 'She's Leaving Home' and Otis Redding's 'Dock of the Bay' into personal vehicles for vocal acrobatics.
