ABOUT THE ALBUM
Big band jazz fans will stand up and take notice when they hear "This Could Be the Start of Something Big", Andy Farber's first album for Black Warrior Records. Farber has assembled a 17-piece jazz orchestra that swings and swaggers it's way through original compositions, jazz standards and Broadway classics. Not only does he lead this extraordinary ensemble, Farber himself is featured on various saxophones, and pulls it all together with his own masterful arrangements of each song on the album. Jazz vocal legend Jon Hendricks makes a guest appearance on the title track as well as the old time blues classic "Roll'em Pete". "This Could Be the Start of Something Big" is a celebration of all that is great about the big band and, the joy that well-played jazz brings to all who listen.
