F**k complacency. Parquet Courts casts off their reputation as harbingers of the new generation of slacker rock with the "Sunbathing Animal"'s ferocious pace and meticulous density, punctuated by frenzied interludes of razor-sharp guitar. No time for choruses here - the words fly out of singer Andrew Savage at terminal velocity, a blast of steam spewing from a pressure cooker, channeling the fury of the over-educated outcast living in the margins.
