Ricky Nelson / Songs By Ricky (Bonus Tracks)

One of the most popular rock and roll artists of the 1950s, Ricky Nelson was extraordinarily consistent during the first five years of his recording career. He crafted exciting pop-rockabilly hybrids with ace session players while projecting an archetype of the sensitive, reticent young adult with his accomplished vocals. His records were so great that they became hits in Europe and elsewhere in the world where the sitcom wasn't shown. This quintessential collector's edition includes two of his finest albums: Ricky Nelson (1958) and Songs by Ricky (1959), both originally released by the Imperial label. Both masterpieces have been packaged together in this very special release, which also includes 6 bonus tracks from the same period.
