ABOUT THE ALBUM
Import-only release from the Jazz great includes all of Lee Morgan's studio recordings in a quartet setting through 1960, compiled here for the first time ever on a single CD. Contained within are the complete sessions that produced the celebrated album Candy, the trumpeter's only entirely quartet album ever. Also here are various single quartet tracks from sessions that otherwise featured additional horns. A blues featuring Morgan as the only horn with various percussionists has been added as a bonus at the end of this set. American Jazz Classics. 2011.
