ABOUT THE ALBUM
One of the most sensual singers in the history of jazz and popular music, Julie London was known both for her sultry and husky vocals and for her risqué album covers. Presented here is one of her best thematic LPs, Around Midnight, a magnificent collection of songs evoking nighttime. An original song by Bobby Troup, "Lonely in Paris," is included among well known standards like Thelonious Monk's celebrated "'Round Midnight," Erroll Garner's "Misty," George & Ira Gershwin's "But Not for Me," and Billy Strayhorn's "Lush Life.". 180-gram VIRGIN VINYL LIMITED EDITION. Cover printed with extra gold metallic Pantone color. The Complete Album + 1 Bonus Track. * AllMusic
