Berry Is On Top

IF you had to sweat all of Chuck Berry's early albums on Chess, this would be the one to own, stated Cub Koda in his 5-star AllMusic review of this LP. "While this may be merely a collection of singles and album ballast, it ends up being the most perfectly realized of Chuck Berry's career," he added. First released in July of 1957, it features twelve sensational numbers and was akin to a greatest hits sampler, which includes such perennial songs as "Maybellene", "Roll Over Beethoven", "Almost Grown," "Carol," "Sweet Little Rock and Roller," and "Johnny B. Goode". 180-gram VIRGIN VINYL LIMITED EDITION. The Complete Album + 2 Bonus Tracks. * ALL MUSIC
