ABOUT THE ALBUM

Premiere of the 12", BioVinyl LP, celebrating 75 years since Vince Guaraldi started his professional music career. There are four bonus tracks from the “Mystery session” and two additional jazz standards recorded around the same time, featuring Ron McClure on bass. "Mystery" was the 11th Peanuts special that Guaraldi composed and performed on piano. The quartet features Seward McCain - Bass, Mike Clark/Eliot Zigmund – drums, and Tom Harrell - trumpet. The special aired on 2-1-1974, written by Charles Schulz, produced by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson, and directed by Phil Roman. Available for the first time ever on Vinyl, CD, and digital. The record was mixed and mastered for audiophiles, jazz lovers, and Peanuts fans everywhere. Terry Carleton mixed "Mystery" at Bones, and Knives Studio, Vinson Hudson restored and mastered the album, and Sean & Jason Mendelson produced the record. The LP includes a 4-page insert with art from the special, liner notes by Sean & Jason Mendelson, and Derrick Bang (author of "Vince Guaraldi at the Piano"), and it comes with a magnifying glass to help solve some of the MYSTERIES in the release. The ThinkIndie exclusive record comes in a clear “magnifying glass” BioVinyl variant. It does not magnify, but it will help with solving all the mysteries to be discovered inside.
