Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss

Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet tie the musical knot with Whitehorse, marrying their talent and chemistry as a smoldering duo. The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss is the songbird and falcon's first full-length album. The record takes surprising turns; while each track bears Whitehorse's signature blistering guitar work and love-knotted vocals, their willingness to take risks while staying true to themselves makes for captivating listening. The album covers impressive ground without compromising it's artistic coherence. On stage, the duo punches above their weight, wielding a multitude of guitars amidst intricate looping pedals, stomp box, and odds and ends percussion. Luke and Melissa have been recognized with awards and nominations from the Juno Awards, Polaris Music Prize (Long List), the Canadian Folk Music Awards, the Hamilton Music Awards, and the Independent Music Awards. Also available on LP.
