One For The Road

Limited 180gm colored vinyl LP pressing. The legendary Kinks paved the way for heavy metal and punk while still making their mark on pop music and their essential 1980 live album, One For The Road truly has it all. Featuring a line-up of Ray Davies (vocals, guitar), Dave Davies (guitar, vocals), Mick Avory (drums), John Rodford (bass) and Ian Gibbons (bass), the double album collection presents a compelling portrait of the band across the decades brilliantly mixing what were newer numbers at the time like "Attitude, "Superman" and "Misfits" with vintage classics like "You Really Got Me," "Lola," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Celluloid Heroes." The Kinks always made music at the cutting edge of rock 'n' roll and One For The Road continues that tradition with the same signature inventiveness, energy, passion and poise.
