Forever Overhead

Vinyl LP pressing. 2019 release, the debut solo album from Hey Rosetta frontman and principle songwriter Tim Baker. The first words we hear him sing on the lead single "Dance" are akin to a toast: "Here's to the other side, lifted high." About the track, Baker notes, '"Dance" is a song about longing - longer for love/lust/intimacy/connection, for youth/the past, and for nature/larger world." What follows "Dance" are 11 songs centered on kinship and the complexities of human connection, and show that Baker's raw and observational song-writing - which was at the heart of the 12 year journey with his previous band, Hey Rosetta! And their multi-award winning and nominated career - is still as affecting as ever.
