ABOUT THE ALBUM
Experience an experiment turned masterpiece: NoYork! Applying timeless vocals over detailed, textured instrumentals, Los Angeles rapper Blu seems to have placed himself at the forefront of a new genre, melding classic Hip Hop lyricism with the experimentation of the L.A. beat scene. With trails of Psych Rock, Dub, broken beats, and Jazz, Blu has moved past the sample-heavy traditionalism of his early work for NoYork, creating a balance between golden era Hip Hop and the future of music. Features production from beat icons including Flying Lotus, Exile, Shafiq Husayn of Sa Ra, Daedalus, Dibia$e, and Samiyam. Guest vocals from Pac Div, U-God (Wu-Tang Clan), UNI, J*Davey, and more.
