ABOUT THE ALBUM
18 Tracks Total Time 53'24" the original soundtrack of GESU' DI NAZARETH (JESUS OF NAZARETH) by Maurice Jarre is finally back in the Legend catalogue, after an absence of years! Digitally and completely re-mastered, this sumptuous edition includes 6 previously unreleased tracks taken from the Master Tape of RCA America, which in contemporary with the film release (1977) published the music and dialogues on a LP, nowadays very difficult to find. Amongst the rich filmography of Maurice Jarre this film score is an absolute masterpiece, in which, without being swayed, Jarre was able to deal with a subject that easily opens the way to traditional mystical music compositions. Though it was the year 1977, the musical approach of Maurice Jarre is topical and dramatically modern. One of the most loved movies directed by Franco Zeffirelli, starring Robert Powell, AnneBancroft, Ernest Borgnine, Claudia Cardinale, James Mason, Laurence Olivier, Peter Ustinov, Rod Steiger, Anthony Quinn. A valuable Album enhanced with a 24 page color booklet.
