ABOUT THE ALBUM
London's underground can lay claim to originating many forms of British dance music, but Bassline House is not one of them. For several years now the North of England (namely Sheffield) has been nurturing the bastard child of garage since said genre was ruined by the major labels. Now with acts like T2 and H20 claiming #1 chart positions, London is waking up to the new sound of Clubland. Mixed by RINSE FM resident & Bassline favorite Paleface, Rinse 05 is here. The energy and aesthetic of garage circa 1999; the shuddering bass of grime and a 4/4 structure all underlined with an acute sense of fun. It was the excitement of these ravers on their return to Blighty which gave T2 and H20 the momentum to blindside established, mainstream artists and reach #1 in the national charts. For fans of SINDEN & COUNT OF MONTE CRISTAL.
