ABOUT THE ALBUM
It's been over 20 years since Equal Vision Records has repressed 'Background Music,' the iconic debut full-length from American Nightmare. This record is an unrelenting sonic assault that epitomizes the raw intensity of hardcore punk. Released to critical acclaim, 'Background Music' is a blistering fusion of aggressive riffs and frontman Wesley Eisold's impassioned vocals. With thought-provoking lyrics that explore themes of disillusionment, societal angst, and personal struggles, 'Background Music' is an anthemic manifesto that resonates with a generation searching for catharsis.
