Postcards

GRAMMY winners, Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer perform with exquisite vocal harmony and instrumental virtuosity while covering a wide range of musical styles including contemporary and traditional folk, swing, new and old time country. From the Woody Guthrie/Billy Bragg song "Birds and Ships" to the song Cathy co-wrote with Tom Paxton, "Survivors of the Storm", the classic Boswell Sisters' "It's the Girl" and Ola Belle Reed's "Hopelessly in Love", the songs are rooted in their twenty plus years of performing together around the world. Think of them as musical postcards from the journey so far. 'POSTCARDS' won a GRAMMY nomination for BEST TRADITIONAL FOLK ALBUM. "Postcards" features beautiful harmony vocals by Cathy & Marcy in addition to wonderful instrumental work in a variety of beautifully played instruments. I highly recommend "Postcards". Nils Lofgren, Guitarist from the E Street Band "Truly exquisite. I don't know if anyone can understand how it feels to hear songs like this flowing out through your voices." Nora Guthrie, Woody Guthrie Foundation and Archives "Possibly the most popular act of the weekend was the American duo Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer, who held a capacity crowd spellbound with their traditional and contemporary songs..."
