Heartland

Acclaimed roots / blues / americana singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt crosses boundaries again with this compelling americana ballad "Heartland". The song soars through the Kansas Flint Hills as a reference point stating that we all see the beauty in the rest of the world through the lens of our own home. Recorded simply and beautifully during the "Gravity Loves You" sessions Hunt defines the track with her vocal / acoustic piano performance and calls on Grammy-winning mando master Sam Bush and acoustic bassist Byron House (Robert Plant Band of Joy) to round out the arrangement. Hunt is one of those rare artists who is always authentic no matter what stylistic facet she mines, demonstrating similarities between styles of music rather than differences. She does it elegantly again here on a track that is sure to bring you back home.
