Supercute

Boston area keyboardist Mike Langlie's toy piano band Twink is back with nearly an hour of instrumental adventures on "Supercute!" Music box melodies meet mutated beats and dreamland DJs serve up twisted ice cream truck tunes. Barnyard animals take over the orchestra pit and there's a toy surprise in every song! This is original music for weird cartoon and vaudeville stories, and some familiar standards are also thrown into the mix. Joining Mike are over a dozen musicians including Ralph Carney (Tom Waits, Elvis Costello), Clayton Scoble (Aimee Mann, Francine) and Steven Cerio (artist for the Residents and Negativland). Sitting alongside the toy instruments are strings, horns, ukulele, melodica, pots, pans, mandolin, singing saw and more.
