Passion, Grace & Fire

Vinyl LP pressing. Some of the most beautiful and emotionally intense music ever recorded! In 1983, the guitar super trio joined forces and reunited for another set of acoustic guitar trios. Unlike their first album, the phenomenal live acoustic performance, Friday Night In San Francisco, this fellow masterpiece consists entirely of studio sessions. Passion, Grace & Fire is a mix of flamenco, fusion, jazz, Latin and classical music bathed in beauty and compassion. Al Di Meola's lush "Orient Blue" is filled with wonderful unison and contrapuntal melodic passages, as well as smart solos from all three musicians, while John McLaughlin's compelling "David" is a lovely Spanish ballad highlighting the guitarist's passionate, soaring playing. Passion, Grace & Fire is simply three mind blowing musicians who united to produce the last word in acoustic guitar music. It certainly lives up to it's title!
