ABOUT THE ALBUM
The Grim Parade is the first Uncle Bonsai release in almost 10 years and includes, in addition to six live performances, the first studio recordings the group has done since 1984! With their soaring and intricate 3-part vocal harmonies and biting humor, the trio delivers poignantly unflinching portrayals of life, love, and a guy named Doug. The songs on "The Grim Parade" focus on the passing of time, the passing of genes, and the passing of pets - the truth of everything seemingly buried somewhere under the family tree. "Uncle Bonsai performs funny original songs whose exquisite musical detail and subtle needling wit attain a level of craft not often seen in pop." - NY Times.
