Controlled Burn: Live In Atlanta

Gringo Star's Controlled Burn: Live in Atlanta is the veteran indie band's first-ever live album, showcasing their modern take on hazy psychedelia, mind-bending doo-wop inspired R&B and British Invasion-channeling rock & roll. The career-spanning set list serves as a 10-year retrospective, compiling popular singles and deep cuts from each of the band's albums into a frenzied, sweaty celebration of their catalog, all performed in front of a rabid hometown audience at legendary Atlanta rock club The Earl. After being covered this album cycle at Billboard, Paste, Collide and Popdust, Gringo Star was #11 most added at College Radio last week (NACC-reporting stations), and their upcoming tour was just announced via Brooklyn Vegan. "Draws on their scruffy garage rock beginnings and proven ability to emotionally eclipse whatever genres they've been tagged with over the past decade. The surfy, swiftly plucked guitar solos speak to the romance of a band who believes in providing late-night euphoria for the lonely, the exultant, the wistful and the drunk." - Paste Black vinyl.
