ABOUT THE ALBUM
Marmalade is the creation of esteemed indie author John Wray ('The Right Hand of Sleep') and drummer Sarah Blust. After relocating to Brooklyn, Marmalade gained a helping hand from members of other prominent bands including Ladybug Transistor, The Essex Green, Skeleton Key, and High/Low and began to flourish in 2001. Their debut CD, 'Beautiful Soup' gushes with inventive lyrics, jangly guitars, and soulful Bolan-esque crooning. It's' soulful, simple and sincere sound could easily find it's way into the undergrounds big warm fuzzy hearts.
