Twist & Shout

The Isley Brothers came to Wand Records and set the scene on fire, turning rhythm & blues into pure, high-energy magic. With Twist & Shout, they delivered raw, electrifying vocals and unstoppable grooves that shook dance floors from New York to Philly-announcing that soul music was about to be changed forever. Originally released in 1962, this album is pure, unfiltered Isley Brothers-gritty, soulful, and built for the dancefloor. Their version of "Twist and Shout" is a full-throttle explosion of raw energy, laying down a blueprint The Beatles would later follow. But the real magic is how the Isleys keep that fire burning across the entire record, blending gospel passion with R&B muscle. This album isn't just a collection of songs; it's a snapshot of a group on the verge of something bigger, turning up the heat and refusing to let go.
