ABOUT THE ALBUM
Elmore James became an 'overnight' success at the age of 42, having learned his craft the hard way-twenty years of slog around the Southern States of the U.S.A. This collection of songs recorded during the period of 1951-66 showcases why his music is rightly revered by a whole new generation of blues fans and has become a 'standard' repertoire for R'n'B musicians worldwide. This album accurately indicates the importance of the genius of Elmore James.
