Out In The Country (Mod)

Doc Watson is perhaps the foremost, and certainly the most popular practitioner of a country folk tradition that extends back to the birth of our nation. As singer, banjoist and guitarist, Arthel "Doc" Watson has kept the musical heritage of our forefathers alive and well. This album presents an even dozen early recordings by Doc that have never been made available previously. Recorded by noted folk and blues producer and researcher Norman Dayron, they represent some of the finest and purest work yet committed to disc by this traditional master. We are sure that you will find these brilliant performances as fascinating as we have, and they add immeasurably to the brilliant legacy of recorded work by the great Doc Watson.
