Soil

"A piece of paper can fly anywhere without control, but when you attach it to a Kite it flies safely, as a Kite..." This is the vision which gave the band Kite it's name. To make sure that the Kite flies in a safe way it has to be attached to a cross as a stability. In the same way the band Kite wants to keep the focus on the Cross in their music and lyrics. The members are located in the western parts of Sweden and has been playing under the name Kite since 1998. Through the years Kite has been playing in churches, festivals and has also played two times in Estonia. The members are Sven Edelgård and David Einebrant on guitars, Markus Lidevi on Bass-guitar and background vocals, Simon Johansson on drums and Tingbratt on lead-vocals and Guitar. The music can be defined as guitar-based Pop/Alternative/Rock, the melancolic lyrics combined with the suggestive guitars are the bands trademark. The lyrics are influenced by their christian faith. Kite's vision is to inspire the christian people to be honest in their faith, but also to present the christian faith to non-christian people. Kite released their first album 'Soil' in 2002. Febr 24 2007 they will release their second album 'Open'.
