ABOUT THE ALBUM
With a career span of over 40 years and teeming with countless R&B and Rock n Roll hits, this wonderful record allows a brief glance into the recorded archives of Herb Abramson, one of the most well-respected record producers of all time. Co-founding Atlantic Records in 1948, his underlying philosophy and mega-label grand plan unearthed some of the biggest names in popular music of his, or anyone else's, time. But alongside his million-selling hits, somewhere amongst his 'wall of tapes', this treasure trove of lesser-known gems has been unearthed for your listening pleasure. Recorded between 1958 and 1978, this fantastic collection of classic R&B sounds includes early, unheard tracks from now-legendary artists including Jimmy Ricks, Sonny Til and The Universals.
