ABOUT THE ALBUM
With a career span of over 40 years and teeming with countless R&B and Rock n Roll hits, this wonderful record allows a brief glance into the recorded archives of Herb Abramson, one of the most well respected record producers of all time. Co-founding Atlantic Records in 1948, his underlying philosophy and mega label grand plan unearthed some of the biggest names in popular music of his, or anyone else's, time. But alongside his million-selling hits, somewhere amongst his 'wall of tapes', this treasure trove of lesser known gems has been unearthed for your listening pleasure. Recorded between 1958 and 1978, this fantastic collection of classic R&B sounds includes the tracks 'Snatchin' Peaches', 'Do the Zombie' and 'Umgowa Twist'.
