Vintage Collections Series

It's a tradition in country music that young singers begin their careers in tiny clubs, copying the styles of established stars. Whitman broke that rule, creating a style so unique that few singers ever copied him. With flawless diction, his graceful voice put forth an almost operatic falsetto that complemented a signature repertoire of decades-old pop favorites. Tracks here include "Indian Love Call," "Song of the Old Water Wheel" and more, including the previously unreleased "There's a Rainbow in Every Teardrop" and "I Talk to the Waves."
