Prism

The Choice Studios in Sea Cliff N.Y. were the birthplace of this August 1978 recording featuring the meeting of two outstanding talents in the jazz world both happily still active. Californian pianist Joanne Brackeen and Puerto Rican born Eddie Gomez combined to produce music of breathtaking quality and beauty. The intimate duet setting is especially conducive for extended musical dialogues, simultaneously showcasing individual concepts and the composite sound. The two versions of 'International Festival' and the title track 'Prism' illustrate that this was a true partnership which achieved supreme counterpoint and conversational quality.
