ABOUT THE ALBUM
2012 release, the 10th album from the Minnesota Indie outfit. Known for their constantly evolving musical style, The Honey dogs have found their sweet spot with this album. Merging the simpler stylistic sensibility of their early work with the more sophisticated musical moments of their recent albums, What Comes After has the feel of a band who has come into their own. The universal themes lend themselves well to the combination of music that hints at darkness, owed to Levy's reignited Nick Drake and Leonard Cohen obsession, and the most hopeful and upbeat lyrics of Levy's career. With What Comes After, The Honey dogs show US a band that continues to grow musically and a songwriter who is just reaching his pinnacle.
