Our American Cousin

Lincoln's Beard is a Vancouver, WA band made up of Kris Chrisopulos (guitar, vocals), Tyler Morgan (trumpet, mandolin, keyboard) and Dwayne Spence (bass, banjo, slide guitar). The sound they produce is a blend of bluegrass, folk, alt country, and ska-ish something...all in all, a sound that is uniquely out there, yet hauntingly familiar and comforting. The set they played this particular evening played across the spectrum of sound, going from plucky banjo/horn infused blues ska, to the grey lamentful echoes of love lost. -Olin.
