Tijuana Sound Machine (Nortec Collective Presents)

For over 25 years, Nortec: Bostich + Fussible have reshaped the global perception of Mexican music and of Tijuana itself. With their groundbreaking fusion of Norteño, Banda, and electronic music, they pioneered a genre of their own: Nortec, born on the border, embraced worldwide. Originally released on black vinyl in April 2018, Tijuana Sound Machine has never been available on colored vinyl, until now. In celebration of Nortec: Bostich & Fussible’s 25th anniversary and Nacional Records’ 20th anniversary, this exclusive limited edition pressing arrives on orange translucent vinyl, available August 15th. Certified Double Platinum by AMPROFON, Tijuana Sound Machine remains a landmark in Latin electronic music — a bold, genre-defining release that introduced Nortec’s border-blurring sound to the world. From Coachella to Glastonbury, Roskilde to Vive Latino, Nortec have taken their music to nearly every major festival and continent — not just as performers, but as cultural ambassadors. In a time when the U.S.-Mexico border was often reduced to headlines, Nortec offered a richer, more human narrative — one grounded in creativity, innovation, and pride. This anniversary edition celebrates the album that started it all — a high-energy, genre-defying statement that put Tijuana on the global music map.
